Total renovation of service station in Grauholz

The new building has no heating. It is entirely heated by daylight. A cellulose wall and a glass window have been built on the timber facade. With this new technology the light can provide sufficient heat all day long - even without sunshine. The house produces more energy on average per year than it uses. This is thanks to the photovoltaic system on the roof. The north side of the autobahn service station will also be revamped next year. It should be the first solar-powered station with rapid charging technology.
