Hanro site Liestal

A popular vote prevented the demolition of the over 100-year-old building complex of the former textiles factory HANRO in Liestal. The premises, however, needed extensive renovation work. The overall refurbishment was aimed at providing suitable spaces for small businesses and artists as well as various educational bodies. The curved shed roofs caused resonance which reflected back speech to the speaker and listeners. The concrete surfaces did not absorb noise and urgent measures were required to suppress the resonance. Curau AG was able to implement the optimum solution. The shed roofs were coated with 2 cm of pure white isofloc silencio. Even application required absolute concentration and great skill. Working on the scissor lifts and at heights of more than 5 m was extremely challenging.
